Job Description:


Are you compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of others? We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team in Plainsboro, NJ. As a PCA, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, particularly those facing challenges such as Alzheimer's, previous falls, vertigo, pain in both lower extremities, and bladder incontinence.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their well-being and quality of life.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' condition to the appropriate medical personnel or family members.
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping as needed.
Requirements:


  • Previous experience in geriatric home care preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
  • Ability to handle and assist with mobility issues, including previous falls and vertigo.
  • Understanding of pain management techniques and experience working with clients experiencing pain in both lower extremities.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes in Plainsboro, NJ.
Schedule:


  • Hours to be determined, with a predicted schedule of 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
