Momar is looking for a District Sales Manager


Momar, Inc., a privately owned, specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a District Sales Manager to join the Momar family. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the District Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales representatives and working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality water treatment products and services. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong sales acumen, industry knowledge, and leadership skills to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, develop strategic relationships, and achieve sales targets.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets within the district. Identify market opportunities and create actionable plans to capitalize on them.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support their professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners. Address client needs and concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Utilize this information to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the market.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics. Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s water treatment products and services. Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close sales deals with clients. Ensure that terms are favorable and align with company policies and objectives.
  • Work closely with other departments such as marketing, customer service, and technical support to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective solution delivery.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the water treatment industry or a related field, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.


Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift and/or carry at least 20 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the district, including visiting client locations and attending meetings.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear, as needed.
  • Frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, and talk or hear.
