A growing Wasatch Front bank is seeking an experienced Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Investigation Leader to lead a dynamic team responsible for upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role in safeguarding the institution's integrity and protecting against financial crimes.


  • Location: Northern Utah County, Utah (100% on-site)

  • Compensation: $100-110K (DOE) + bonus + benefits

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Team Lead, you will use your subject matter expertise to guide and empower a team of financial crimes analysts, ensuring their proficiency in preventing and detecting money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes.


This includes:

  • Being a hands-on leader while conducting investigations with analysts and performing quality assurance assessments
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, while also taking a hands-on approach to investigations, quality assurance, and process improvement
  • Escalating and reporting relevant matters to BSA Officer, relevant committee(s), and working successfully on cross-functional teams
  • Implementing new BSA Officer’s new initiatives, procedures, and controls
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant BSA laws and regulations


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • BSA Compliance/Regulations Expertise: Deep understanding of financial crimes regulations, typologies (incl. ACAMS or equivalent—required within 12 months of hire)
  • Analytical & Technology Skills: Leverage relevant software software/platforms and critical thinking abilities to ensure streamlined process, solve problems, etc.
  • Motivational Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team, while fostering a positive, engaging, and accountable work environment and successfully manage cross-functional projects
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Preferred Education: Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, or related field
