Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Safety observation reports on a regular basis.
  • Perform safety walks and audits daily to analyze safety risks.
  • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machine operation.
  • Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
  • Investigate accidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes of the accident.
  • Maintain documentation of the company’s safety procedures, accidents, and related events.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Safety software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation. 
  • Understanding of federal, state, and city safety requirements including OSHA.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and managers.
  • Leadership skills, able to motivate others.

Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseThe ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Hardworking.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a safety capacity as well as working with OSHA regulations. 
  • Physical ability to perform light work, exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally 
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, passionate, and self-starter. 
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
