Summary/Description:

QED is looking for a Business Process Improvement Specialist to support customer process improvements. This will consist of a one-time update of process documentation (contract duration is one year from start date). The customer currently has a few areas of process documentation authored by different groups at different points in time that have not been thoroughly updated in a few years nor fully aligned to how things are currently done within the context of the customer's Real Estate Management System.

The Business Process Improvement Specialist will provide support to for the review, update, consolidation, and synchronization of business process documentation to enable an improved training/user experience with the end goal being the return of the maintenance of such documents back to the primary POCs within (12) months of the contract start date. Specific Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Inventory the existing documentation and meet with primary POCs to identify any that can be entirely discarded.
  • Review the current body of documentation to understand connection points and overlaps (approximately 100 pages of text and flowcharts)
  • Meet one-on-one with stakeholders to identify necessary updates
  • Hold at least one in-person facilitated group session to request clarification from stakeholders at customer agency headquarters
  • Update the process documents where relevant using standard Microsoft Office software
  • Hold one virtual staff training session to present the revised documentation in brief
  • Transition the maintenance of the process documentation back to the primary POCs from each group
  • Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above

Required Education and Skills:

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5+ years of experience directly related to the description above.
  • Experience in lieu of degree is as follows:
    • Associate's Degree and 9 years of related experience
    • No degree and 11 years of related experience
  • Must have excellent skills with Microsoft products, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Must have excellent writing/editing skills and ensure project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner and to solicit the assistance and cooperation of others when needed or where appropriate
  • Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check and be granted a Public Trust clearance
