Job DescriptionJob Description

$,500 SIGN-ON BONUS (AFTER THREE MONTHS)

Responsible for inspecting and testing designated equipment for functionality, approving finished products and documenting inspection results.

JOB FUNCTION:

1. Perform visual inspections on repaired/rework of customer equipment

  • Follow established ESD guidelines and other required procedures while inspecting and approving incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials as needed
  • Perform testing using ETI both pre-release and released documents
  • With an attention to detail visually and mechanically inspect equipment for damaged or missing hardware or electronics/components
  • Pass/Fail and document equipment using company software
  • Physically and accurately move equipment to designated racks/shelves/container locations in company software according to established procedures

2. Apply supplemental work instructions to designated equipment

  • Follow established ESD guidelines to document inspection results by completing reports, logs and summarize re-work and input data into quality database
  • Review established work lists to determine which equipment to inspect/test
  • Review work instruction in company software
  • Apply Quality inspection as indicated
  • Physically and accurately move equipment to designated racks/shelves/container locations in company software according to established procedures

3. Inspect/Test equipment for Final Disposition

  • Follow established ESD guidelines and other required procedures to approve finished products
  • Determine which equipment to Inspect/test according to first in first out process as staged in the Final QA Status Log
  • Inspect incoming equipment from Outsources Vendors
  • Review in the company software the Status of Repair/Not Repairable units
  • Use all available equipment to perform job such as visual aids, hand tools, etc.
  • Update company software according to established procedures

4. Retrieve, organize and inspect CRR units for processing return to Customer or scrapping based on customer service notes. Search for misplaced items as needed. Assist other departments on various duties and responsibilities as needed.

5. Manage special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of work experience as a Quality Inspector performing Inspection in Telecommunication Printed Circuit cards or Manufacturing Production facility
  • Experience as a Quality Inspector or Rework in a telecommunications repair environment is a plus.
  • Current IPC J-Std-001, IPC-A-610 or similar certification is desired
  • Experience working with technical equipment and using hand-held measurement devices including but not limited to calipers, alignment gauges, voltmeters, ammeters and ohm meters
  • Ability to regularly navigate computer software programs and work with e-mail is required.
  • Ability to read and visually identify small serial numbers, part numbers, and other unique product identifiers is required
  • Experience with component identification and orientation on PCB is required
  • BOM knowledge for 1st article inspection/testing process
  • Ability to learn to use new equipment is required
  • Ability to navigate to, read and follow all TL/ISO processes that pertain to the scope of the position is required
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers and business associates inside and outside the company.
  • Must be available when needed to work overtime
