Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers sound patient care practices, completes ancillary tasks, and demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self. This role requires maintaining equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition, and providing clinical services according to Nuclear Medicine practice standards.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and exercise new skills, demonstrating progress in level of functionality and effective communication with mentors.
  • Perform at expected level of supervisor's expectations, adhering to department policies and protocols.
  • Assist with adhering to radiography principles and demonstrate effective use of radiation protection procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate's school/program of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT-N or CNMT obtained within one year of hire date.
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within one year of hire date.
  • Registered State Inspector – Virginia within 3 months.
  • Experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Student.
  • Basic Life Support upon start.
Work Environment

This role is located at Loudoun Hospital, with varying days and hours. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality patient care.
