Home Center Sales Representative

Fencing Supply Group (FSG) is looking to hire a Home Center Sales Representative to drive the sales of the company’s Trex Fencing line.
General Responsibilities
- Connect and interact with district-level field merchants and in-store teams to coordinate training, be product advocates, and follow through on in-store generated opportunities.
- Building and maintaining relationships by understanding customer needs, providing excellent customer service, and being responsive to inquiries and concerns.
- Network with all FSG branches to identify the Home Center customer, i.e., best relationships, good reputation, specialist in privacy fencing, willingness to convert/upgrade customers to Trex, etc.
- Learn the Home Center ERP to be able to provide expert support to associates who need assistance locating and using Trex Fencing SKUs.
- Perform outreach to District Managers to coordinate introductions with new IHCs and one-on-one support.
- Troubleshoot quotes and orders to ensure accuracy, reduce returns, and correct issues.
- Attend local home center trade shows and store events to promote, educate and inform on Trex Fence.
- Perform store visits, coordinate with OSR Contractor Sales to generate contact with local contractors.
- Prospecting and lead generation through cold calling, attending networking events, and utilizing various channels to generate Trex Fence leads.
- Having strong product and service knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate the FSG/Trex Fence value proposition to customers and handle objections.
- Effective time management, keeping accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and other relevant information.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions and effectively adapting to changing market dynamics.
- Staying updated on sales techniques, technology, and industry trends.
- Unquestioned integrity and ethics.
- High drive for results, discipline in execution, and sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated with the ability to be effective in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing organization.
- High tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to create effective processes as needed.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with the appropriate resources across the organization to accomplish goals and objectives.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in distribution industry, construction products preferred.
- Experience in promoting and upselling solutions to drive customer commitment and loyalty.
- Working knowledge of fence distribution and supply chain is preferred.
