JOB TITLE: Operations Technical Writer

DEPARTMENT: Flight Operations Technical Publications

REPORTS TO: Flight Operations Technical Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain, revise, and create Kalitta Air Flight Operations policy and procedures manuals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous technical writing experience is desired.

• Aviation background or Airline operational experience preferred.

• Proficiency with Adobe Framemaker is required, to include document structure, basic and advanced formatting, graphics and data importing.

• Familiar with Adobe Acrobat. Experience with links, buttons, and security features is a plus.

• Familiar with Adobe Photoshop, or similar graphics editing software.

• Experienced with Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word and Excel. Familiarity with advanced formatting styles, graphics, and data importing is a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Strong command of the English language with solid writing skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical ability.

• Deadline oriented.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS

• Read, write, and understand spoken and written English.
