Job Summary:

Our busy medical practice is growing daily, and we seek an experienced and professional Lead Medical Assistant to join our team. The Lead Medical Assistant will assist our administrative team and provide clinical care to our patients at multiple surgical centers. You aim to ensure patient satisfaction, develop process improvements, and manage staff to support a steady workflow that results in exceptional patient service.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Provide front desk, medical assistant, and office support
  • Provide coverage for multiple surgical centers in MD and VA
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the office, monitoring activities to ensure they meet practice policies and objectives
  • Handle daily operational and facilities-related office issues
  • Providing support to staff and physicians
  • Train new staff on office protocols and job responsibilities
  • Deal discretely with sensitive, confidential information
  • Scan physician and patient records
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment to ensure patient safety
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum five years experience in a busy medical/surgical practice
  • Minimum two years experience as a medical assistant; experience assisting in office surgeries a plus
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
