Job Title: Medical Assistant Supervisor

The Central Florida Medical & Chiropractic Center, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily activities of a team of medical assistants within our healthcare facility.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant Supervisor will manage and lead a team of medical assistants, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient clinic operations and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Team Management:
    • Oversee the daily activities of the medical assistant team, including scheduling, workload distribution, and performance management.
    • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to medical assistants, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, share information, and gather feedback.
  • Clinical Oversight:
    • Ensure that medical assistants adhere to clinical protocols, maintain accurate patient records, and follow infection control and safety guidelines.
    • Monitor the quality of patient care provided by the medical assistant team and address any issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Manage patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and front desk activities.
    • Assist with patient check-in, medical history documentation, and vital signs measurement as needed.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and medical records management.
  • Training and Development:
    • Train new medical assistants on job responsibilities, clinical procedures, and office protocols.
    • Provide ongoing training to ensure that the team is up-to-date on medical advancements, regulations, and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement quality control measures to ensure accurate documentation, proper patient care, and compliance with regulations.
    • Participate in audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Communication:
    • Maintain open and effective communication channels with other departments, providers, and patients.
    • Address patient concerns, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified medical assistant program preferred.
    • Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
    • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant and demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
    • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software.
