Job Summary:

The Lead Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Director of Nursing and the clinical care team, serves as an integral member of the nursing and Community Clinic health center leadership teams. As a member of the health center leadership triad, the Lead RN participates in administrative and organizational leadership activities to promote efficiency and optimal quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements care plans, sets patient-centered goals, and continually assesses patient's self-advocacy, self-management, and barriers to care.
  • Collaborates with population health and leads monthly care management huddles, coordinating patient care with community health workers.
  • Serves as lead for the nursing department at the health center and is an integral part of the leadership triad, developing, enforcing, and maintaining policies, procedures, workflows, and clinical guidelines.
  • Engages in health center and Community Clinic Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement measurement, analysis, and performance improvement activities to meet quality goals.
  • Supervises health center nursing staff, including assigning duties, hiring, on-boarding, training, ongoing education, and corrective action.
Requirements:
  • Active RN license issued by the State of Maryland Board of Nursing or any state under the Nurse License Compact.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience, with progressive leadership experience a plus.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience with documenting in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) - specific knowledge of eClinicalWorks is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity a plus.
