The Product Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the performance of products, gathering market and customer data, and providing actionable insights that guide product development and strategy. This role involves working closely with product managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that products meet market needs, are competitively positioned, and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, such as sales data, customer feedback, and usage patterns. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities to optimize product performance.

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Provide insights to support product positioning, pricing, and feature development.

  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback from various channels, including surveys, reviews, and direct interactions. Identify key pain points and areas for improvement in product offerings.

  • Data Analysis: Use data analytics tools to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights. Provide regular reports and dashboards to track product performance against KPIs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and marketing teams to communicate findings and recommendations. Ensure that insights are integrated into the product development process.

  • Product Roadmap Support: Assist in the development and prioritization of the product roadmap by providing data-driven insights. Support the product team in making informed decisions about feature enhancements, new product launches, and product retirements.

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor products, pricing strategies, and market positioning. Provide detailed competitive analysis to help differentiate the company's products in the market.

  • A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of product changes and new features. Analyze test results to determine the effectiveness of different strategies.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of product performance metrics, research findings, and competitive analysis. Ensure that all relevant data is accessible to the product team.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and methodologies in product analysis. Continuously seek ways to improve product analysis processes and contribute to the success of the product team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics). Familiarity with product management software (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present data findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in reporting and analysis.

  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar product analysis or data analysis role.
  • Certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Experience with customer analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude).
