General Summary

The Operations and Product Analytics Principal will play a critical role in driving strategic insights across our operations and product development processes supporting key priorities of those respective leadership teams. This role involves leading analytical projects of varying complexity, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing data-driven strategies to optimize business performance, enhance product offerings, and streamline collections operations leveraging consistent financial frameworks. The ideal candidate is a seasoned analytics professional with a strong background in operations, product management, and data analytics.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Analytical Projects: Design and execute comprehensive analytical projects that address key business challenges in operations and product development.
  • Data Strategy & Insights: Develop and implement data strategies that drive operational efficiency and product innovation, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning where applicable.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, operations, and other departments to understand business needs, define analytical requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Reporting and Analytical automation – partner with business leadership and technology teams to automate and enhance consistency of reporting
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operations and product initiatives. Identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions are made across the organization.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide mentorship to analysts and broader business and contribute to building a high-performing analytics team. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Tool & Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance analytics capabilities. Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of data analysis.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in operations and product analytics, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of data-driven decision-making.

Experience and Education

  • Advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA/PhD/DSc) in an analytical field preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Math, or Business;
  • 5+ years of experience developing, deploying, and using statistical models and machine learning algorithms;
  • Demonstrated experience in data development and management in large-scale databases;
  • Experience extracting and manipulating very large datasets (200 million+ records)
