Job Description:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with University faculty, including individuals overseeing Student Affairs as well as House Officer directors
  • Oversee the development and execution of University outreach programs on behalf of Veritas
  • Cultivate and supervise student ambassador representatives within US and accredited foreign universities, who will assist in promoting local and network/nation-wide programs available to students, including summer job programs, clinical externships, and post-graduation training, and to assist in planning Veritas-sponsored on-campus events
  • Ensure compliance with University policy regarding the recruitment of and interaction with student ambassadors, and with regard to planning of on-campus events
  • Develop educational and promotional presentations for on-campus recruitment events
  • Conduct preliminary interviews of students, interns and residents interested in externship, internship, and employment (both ER and specialty) opportunities within Veritas’s family of practices
  • Develop promotional materials for advertisement of Veritas and partner practices to be distributed on-campus
  • Event planning of on-campus recruitment events, including venue selection, budget planning, guest list management and post-event follow-up with attendees
  • Collaboration with senior Veritas leadership and coordination with the VP of Talent Acquisition to provide updates on outreach efforts, and obtain input on the future direction of outreach programs
  • Represent Veritas at select veterinary conferences where the company is an exhibitor and/or sponsor, including assisting in booth set-up, manning of exhibit booth, and candidate outreach
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student, intern and resident contacts from recruiting events and other outreach efforts
  • Contribution of up-to-date content on Veritas and individual practice websites and social media accounts to advertise and promote local and network-wide recruiting events
Required Education & Skills:
  • DVM required
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills
  • At minimum, proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, additional experience in Adobe and other spreadsheet/database software a plus
  • Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, Veritas’s chosen Candidate Management System (when implemented)
  • Willingness to travel a significant portion of each month, depending upon the time of year
  • Familiarity with the current corporate landscape and issues/concerns facing the veterinary industry
  • Knowledge of basic marketing principles to develop and implement modern recruiting strategies
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment when required
