Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree and CPRP Certification OR Bachelor’s Degree and at least three years’ work
experience in mental health direct service, two of which must be work experience in Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Services. CPRP certification shall be attained within two years of hire.
Experience: Two years’ supervisory experience OR at least three years’ work experience in direct mental
health services, which must include either 60 hours of psychiatric rehabilitation training or two years of work
experience in psychiatric rehabilitation OR three years’ experience as a psychiatric rehabilitation specialist and
experience in training and/or supervising others.
Computer proficiency: Moderate to advanced literacy including Word, Excel, web-based applications, and
proper e-mail etiquette.
Clearances: Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check and Department of Human
Services- FBI Fingerprints.
Exclusion Report: Employee will be screened on an ongoing monthly basis to determine if he/she has been
excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs. If exclusions from participation in federal
healthcare programs occur, employee will be precluded from employment in any federally funded healthcare
program operated by Goodwill.
Other: The Coordinator must have a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record and dependable
transportation, which can be used in the course of his/her job. The Coordinator must have an operating
telephone, so that he/she may be contacted quickly by Goodwill when necessary.

Skills, Abilities, Duties, and Requirements:

1. Knowledge of current best practices in delivery of rehabilitation services and acceptance of Goodwill’s
Philosophy Concerning People Served.
2. Extensive knowledge of current trends and best practices in the delivery of supported employment
services.
3. Ability to pass exam and obtain/maintain the Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner
credential.
4. Conducts intakes and orientations activities.
5. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the following in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program is completed for each participant:
a. Goal identification
b. Skill development to reach and maintain rehabilitation goals
c. Support development necessary to reach and maintain rehabilitation goals
6. Ability to formulate and manage budgets.
7. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. This includes presentation skills.
8. Critical thinking skills.
9. Ability to do prolonged standing, walking, or sitting up to 8 hrs.
10. Ability to do frequent bending, stooping, stretching, pushing and pulling.
11. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, (material handling equipment will be
used to minimize effort expanded when practical).
12. Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits.
13. Must follow company policies and safety procedures as well as assuring that employees under his/her
supervision follow the same.
14. Capable of conforming to the high standard of behavior expected of all staff.
15. Dependable in attendance and punctuality.
16. Ensures area of responsibility complies with regulations and requirements.
17. Monitors rules and regulations of designated programs for compliance related changes that may
impact the designated programs or the organization and communicates the same.
18. Responsible for programs supervised, meeting or exceeding performance standards set by the
referring or funding agency.
19. Ensures program staff is provided with updates on new laws and regulations for designated programs.
20. Ensures program staff attends all required training.
21. Ensures that staff establishes a plan of service with each participant which will assist the participant in
achieving his/her goals.
22. External audits will have zero findings.
23. If internal audits result in findings, an appropriate plan of action will be implemented.
24. Develops and maintains accurate reporting systems of outcomes and services.
25. Ensures required documentation and reporting are accurate and timely.
26. Develops and maintains a compliance management system that ensures all designated programs are
compliant with their respective regulations.
27. Analyzes operating trends; streamline, grow, expand into other markets.
28. Identifies appropriate levels of resources and talents to meet objectives.
29. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional
publications.
30. Responsible for outreach and marketing of designated programs which could include public speaking
and presentations.
31. Responsible for all personnel actions with positions supervised, including hiring and evaluation.
Provides for the growth and development of these staff, through on-going training.
