The Project Manager supports the handoff from sales, customer coordination, and implementation to LIVE of customer-facing projects in support of the goals and operating priorities of the organization.

 

The role is focused on the agile implementation and documentation of IPeople Healthcare products and services to healthcare customers, vendors, and partners.

Job Description

 

  • Serve as project/program manager for implementation of IPeople Healthcare products and or services.
  • Prepare department timeline, plan for the project, and provide communication support for working teams.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables and milestones, identify/escalate risk, and required tasks.
  • Manage the project execution and coordinate project closeout activities, including transition plans and lessons learned.
  • Under the direction of management, support the development of business plans and work breakdown structures, specifying goals, governance, staffing, scheduling, risk identification, contingency plans, and communication plans for various directory projects that require coordination across multiple departments.
  • Manage in conjunction with management, internal process improvement/redesign, reengineering, business assessments, and strategy initiatives.
  • Ensure implementation processes are completed accurately and within appropriate timelines.
  • Incorporate current company strategy and defined processes and methods.

 

Requirements

 

EDUCATION:

 

  • BA, BS required, focus on healthcare or business preferred.
  • Certification and/or training in project management is desirable.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Requires 5 to 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare environment. Preferred that 3 to 5 years of that experience occurred within health care, consulting, business/strategic planning, and/or project management settings with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must have successfully managed project/product implementations in healthcare environments.
  • Experience with managing and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Meditech, Epic, Cerner, Allscripts or other EMR vendors preferred.
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is essential.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office, Microsoft Project Management, Azure, and business writing is essential.
  • Prior experience in operations or IT preferred.

 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Must be proficient in applying business consulting skills, methods, and deliverables. This includes the ability to effectively understand and assess the situation, develop recommendations that include developing conceptual/future state models and present in meaningful and useful business consulting deliverables.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal, teaching, decision-making, and written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Requires the ability to assess all work and prioritize as necessary. Must be highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities effectively. Must be able to work both autonomously and as a team player.
  • Must have strong planning, problem-solving, analytic and change management skills.
  • Critical thinking skills are required to understand complex implementations and gain depth in the subject matter.
  • Interacts independently with all levels of hospital and vendor management, including staff, providers, administrative personnel, and vendors.
  • Requires attention to detail to accomplish the small critical tasks of projects and a thorough understanding of the project’s impact on other departments and implications for the company and provider network.
  • Excellent interpersonal, cross-departmental and leadership skills to manage high-profile, strategic projects. Must be able to work cooperatively as a team player.
  • Requires the ability to deal with complex situations and individuals while managing multiple priorities.
