SUMMARY

Banyan Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Information Technology (IT) to lead our internal IT operations and serve as a key liaison with our hospital clients. The ideal candidate will not only ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure but will also play a pivotal role in sales discussions, demonstrating deep industry expertise in healthcare technology. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to support our mission of delivering innovative healthcare solutions.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Strategy: Lead the IT department, setting and executing the strategic direction of Banyan Healthcare's technology initiatives. Develop and implement IT policies and systems that support the company's objectives and operational needs.

Operations Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of systems and data. Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.

Client Engagement: Act as a technical expert during sales calls and meetings with hospital clients, providing insights and advice on healthcare technology solutions. Understand and articulate the technical aspects of our offerings, demonstrating how they meet client needs.

Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of developments in healthcare technology, including regulations, trends, and innovations. Use this knowledge to inform strategy, improve offerings, and position Banyan Healthcare as a leader in the field.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, product development, and customer service departments to ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement and product offering. Support sales and marketing teams with technical knowledge and presentations as needed.

Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensure the team has the skills and resources needed to meet the organization's goals.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare IT regulations, digital health technologies, and trends.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful IT projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in sales or client-facing roles, with the ability to articulate technical information in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
