ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to maintenance manager daily
  • Ensure Maintenance Techs are on floor looking, listening and searching for potential equipment problems prior to shift start as well as throughout shift
  • Respond to calls for maintenance assistance in a professional as well as timely manner
  • Promote a positive safe, productive, teamwork environment
  • Ensure maintenance work orders are completed timely and correctly
  • Ensure projects, work orders and/ or PMs assigned to shift
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic)
  • Must be able to complete necessary repairs via use of hand tools and replacement and installation of required parts or components of equipment following all safety standards and quality GMPs
  • Communicate clearly, thoroughly and consistently with oncoming shift to lead handoff of issues, concerns, needed repairs, priorities
  • Conduct training as needed
  • Participate in training as required by company
  • Identify training gaps to be provided to maintenance manager
  • Keep shop area clean and orderly
  • Make recommendations to maintenance manager to help improve safety, quality of work, productivity
  • Repairs all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
  • Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical, electrical and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete.
  • Oversees preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment.
  • Performs/oversees Welding and Fabrication Repairs.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  • Performs preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and reports findings promptly.
  • Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
  • Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion
  • Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years of industrial experience or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational school training relating to electrical/mechanics is preferred.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

  • Standard mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
  • Experience rebuilding pumps, gearbox, fans
  • Standard knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience in Tig and Stick Welding.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Walk / stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift.
  • Constant bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout shift.
  • Frequent reaching overhead during shift.
  • Constant pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
  • Operation of SkyJack, Forklift, Boom Lift and Scissor Lift.
  • Work in an environment directly affected by weather outside.
