Job Summary:
Seabrook Construction is seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer with forklift certification to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform various physical tasks on construction sites and operate forklifts as needed. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, roads, and other structures.
  • Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate forklifts to transport materials around the construction site.
  • Perform general site clean-up and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as needed.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
  • Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth to prepare for construction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Report any issues or hazards to the site supervisor promptly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with property owners, guests, and team members.
  • Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in construction is a plus.
  • Valid State-issued driver’s license, state minimum insurance, and clean driving record required.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Forklift Certification.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) is preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, walk moderate distances frequently.
  • Lift and/or carry a minimum of 50 lbs. frequently and safely install rigging/lifting devices.
  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Comfort working at heights and in confined spaces.


Hourly Rate: $18-$20
