This position is responsible for all marketing, recruiting, admissions, enrollment management, alumni and career service functions pertaining to the Law School's various graduate, non-J.D. programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

CRM Administration:

  • Lead as the Slate Administrator and Captain for the Law School
  • Provides technical expertise to support the continuous development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Slate processes across all functional areas at the Law School.
  • Builds, tests, and maintain forms, event templates, portals, applications, workflows, essential data elements, and system/feature updates throughout the year and during annual cycle prep.
  • Develops queries, reports, portals, and dashboards to facilitate easier and more accurate reporting for internal and external customers related to assessment, evaluation, and other analytics
  • Executes key aspects of Slate in a timely manner, including but not limited to: system architecture and administration, releasing decisions, leveraging independent subqueries and configurable joins throughout the database, ensuring data integrity and building integrations to other systems

Marketing and Recruitment

  • Responds to prospect requests for information, class visit requests, and campus tour request while managing the full prospect communication cycle
  • Plans and executes an annual social media campaign; Creates and reviews marketing materials for the graduate programs in print, web, and social media for accuracy.
  • Serves as liaison with third party vendors and University Communications on digital marketing campaigns to refresh institutional specific content and maintain message and branding fidelity along with development of content and streamline marketing materials throughout all avenues of information distribution.
  • Supports programmatic diversification and innovation based upon market research, national and state education policy, and higher education enrollment trends.
  • Analyzes digital marketing campaign metrics to assess return on investment and areas for growth
  • Attends National Professional Conferences along with local and regional graduate school fairs for the purpose of recruiting new students into program
  • Develops and plans professional development events for pipeline of students (i.e. law enforcement officers, teachers and educational administrators) for the purpose of recruitment into the M.Jur. program.

Admissions

  • Maintains prospect and student files including application materials, correspondence, registration, add/drop forms, and degree audits. Tracks scholarship inquiries and program changes. Adhere to the document retention policy.
  • Plans and executes residential and virtual orientation activities for graduate non-J.D. programs; Hosts on-campus visits and virtual tours to increase conversion.
  • Contacts all admitted students and meets individually with prospective students on and off campus to provide admissions guidance to ensure the achievement of bi-annual enrollment goals (fall and spring) and high retention and graduation rates.

Enrollment Management

  • Manages enrollment management workflow including the process of course registration.
  • Assists students and adjunct faculty troubleshoot issues with various online portals (Canvas, TWEN, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Gateway).
  • Advises new and continuing students
  • Manages semesterly course projections
  • Performs institutional reporting and assists with the collection, maintenance, security and integrity of data used for required surveys and ad hoc reports.
  • Responsible for scribing (coding) degree requirements in DegreeWorks and maintaining degree progress tracking for Non-JD programs
  • Evaluates student's academic records, produces reliable and consistent degree audits and assist with graduation preparation
  • Assists with reviewing the curriculum and requirements for Non-JD programs are accurate and promptly scribed (coded) in DegreeWorks
  • Develops PDF degree advising guides for prospective and newly admitted students

Alumni, Outreach and Networking

  • Manages cyclical correspondence with students and alumni.
  • Designs and implements (or guides the design and implementation of) pipeline programs targeted toward high demand employers and industry. Organizes and implements non-academic graduate student activities such as athletic and other cultural events.
  • Assists with special event program planning and implementation to secure resources and logistical details of events or meetings by securing room(s), virtual resources and managing digital requirements.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of annual professional development events including but not limited to the National Legal Masters Conference and the Annual Specialty Court Symposium

Career Services

  • Monitors trends and changes in industry employment, local and state employment hub and online resume services.
  • Provides resume review and coaching to graduates.
  • Tracks employment outcomes and graduate passage rates of the Compliance Certificate of Board Exam.
  • Hires, guides, supervises, and evaluates the research assistants to support special events and program expansion.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required; J.D. preferred.
  • 3-5 years of enrollment management experience required;
  • Must demonstrate ability to speak to large groups when representing the Law School on campus visits;
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records and information and demonstrate proven success to think and work independently and as part of a team;
  • Must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
  • Must have valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance; or have a self-reliant source of transportation to conduct business on a daily basis; and
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint) including experience with virtual platforms such as Zoom.
  • Advanced skills and experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, (Technolutions, Slate) and Ellucian-Banner (Student Information Management System) software or similar if preferable.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong public relations and customer service skills with an ability to implement diplomacy and discretion at all times; an ability to work effectively with communities across the university; Highly responsive to the needs of others.
  • Must have a high ethical standard and a strong sense of confidentiality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines; thrive in a complex work environment; displays solid problem solving and interpersonal skills; works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and be able to organize workflow, coordinate activities, balance simultaneous projects without loss of efficiency in a multi-tasked environment, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Requires broad knowledge of the St. Mary's university legal educational program, including defining characteristics and strengths of the program, and of the possibility of multiple career paths within the legal profession;
  • Understanding of the St. Mary's culture and ability to represent and communicate the university mission to prospective students and families is preferred.
  • Shows a working knowledge and proven ability to use analytics as part of a comprehensive enrollment strategic plan. Exhibits initiative, imagination, and organizational abilities to effectively promote and manage the development of best-in-class recruitment and yielding activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
