Job Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team. The right person for this role will be a team player and have an excellent ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.

Summary: The Finance Assistant will play a critical support role within our finance department, reporting directly to the Senior Staff Accountant. This position also involves handling various operational needs for the agency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Purchasing and Payables process. Including:
    • Post bills and credit card transactions
    • Manage Purchase Requests
    • Manage employee expense reports
    • Lead vendor and contractor communications
  • Assist the Media Billing process. Including:
    • Check invoices for required information, post and clear media invoices
    • Coordinate with media planners/buyers on media activity deviations
  • Assist the Senior Staff Accountant with day-to-day financial operations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform data entry tasks.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Handle various operational tasks as needed to support the agency’s needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial and operational processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Advantage) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
