Statement of General Purpose

The Family Life Program Manager is responsible for oversight of the day to day coordination of services that support the Case Management Department. The Family Life Program Manager facilitates lines of communication between agencies, families and the inter­disciplinary team to ensure CUA has effective and meaningful linkages to educational, behavioral and physical health services. The Family Life Program Manager also has the responsibility of providing, monitoring, and assuring that comprehensive support services and oversight are provided on an on-going basis; assisting the Care Coordinator team in identifying high risk indicators; and providing interventions that promote permanency, safety and well­ being for children, youth and families served by our CUA as well as positive outcomes via evidenced based projects

Examples of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provides direct oversight and leadership to care coordinator team in accordance to CUA Practice Guidelines and agency standards.
  • Establishes medical necessity criteria and apply that knowledge in all work activities.
  • Monitors program performance in light of key indicators and compiles data as requested
  • Implements and maintains operational processes, policies and procedures to support child welfare care delivery.
  • Ensures quality and performance metrics are consistently met.
  • Works collaboratively with team members including assisting with the training of newly hired employees as requested, covering work when peers are out of the office as assigned and finding coverage when absent.
  • Participates in the team building process within the program by using established communication channels in a constructive and productive manner that enhances the team effort.
  • Navigates the external provider community and community-at-large effectively for therapeutic, vocational, and recreational supports for the clients supported, thereby promoting community integration and relationship building.
  • Collaborates with CBH and other behavioral health programs to ensure quality of care, promote placement of members in the most appropriate services.
  • Engages in self-performance appraisal, identifying areas of strength as well as areas for professional development.
  • Researches, selects and promotes adaptation of best practice findings to ensure quality care and optimal outcomes.
  • Conducts and document regular supervision bi-weekly.
  • Identifies needs for staff development and training.
  • Identifies gaps in service and develops treatment strategies.
  • Assures program compliance with governing regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related degree in a clinical field including, but not limited to: counseling, education, family therapy, and/or public health and
  • Three (3) years of direct clinical care experience with strong applied behavior analysis skills working with adults, children, adolescents and/or their families in behavioral health settings and experience in assessment and treatment planning; and/or experience in a child welfare setting and
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record.

ADA Component

  • This role requires regular hearing, talking, walking, and sitting; occasional standing, driving, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires regular travel.
