Reports to: Men's Minister 

Hours: 20-29 hours 

Principle Function: Provide ministry support within the Men's Ministry 
 

RPC Mission: To love God with all that we are while making more and better followers of Christ 
RPC 10-year vision from 2021: To plant and support 50 churches by December 2030

Responsibilities: 

Support the ministry in all components to include: mentoring, connections, bible study classes, coffee groups, and leadership council. 

 

Events to include: Father/son event, golf tournament, Father's Day, and Men's Nights 

  • Attend and support Men's Ministry meetings 
  • Regularly be available to assist or represent the Men’s Minister in other related ministry meetings
  • Communicate to leaders and participants on behalf of the Men's Ministry 
  • Attend relevant staff and leader meetings/trainings; taking notes for potential distribution
  • Enter and maintain eSpace entries for set up and resources (childcare, sheriff, media, worship, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Asana and project management for the various ministry components: 
  • classes, mentoring, Coffee Groups, Men’s Night, bi-annual men’s events, etc. 
  • Learn and lead in utilizing the TouchPoint congregant database: attendee records, registrations, communications, attendance and involvement monitoring 
  • Enter invoices and expenses into Nexonia for processing payments and expense posting 
  • Review and update Martus financial budgeting and expenses (monthly assessment of expenses) 
  • Prepare for classes: support teachers, promotion, track attendance, and follow up with next steps 
  • Initiate and draft communication for class participants and for leader follow up
  • Create, post, and build a social media following for Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and our webpages
  • Keep webpage information relevant and current  
  • Purchase supplies and order food as needed while paying close attention to budget parameters
  • Keep storage areas maintained and organized
  • Support volunteers by regularly checking in with Bible study leaders 
  • Keep track of pertinent data (Men’s Night attendance, coffee group participation, etc.) 
  • Keep TouchPoint updated for Men’s Ministry span of care: i.e., notes of participant’s attendance, church status, first time visitors, shepherding needs, etc. 
  • Assist in coordinating and determining volunteer needs and opportunities
  • Assist Men’s Minister in recruiting, onboarding, training, and shepherding volunteers
  • Encourage and appreciate volunteers 
  • Document training needs and support our volunteers as we enhance their TouchPoint experience and utilization 


Required Skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills 
  • Strong sense of individual organization and structure 
  • Ability to self-start and be comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Asana, TouchPoint and other systems as needed  
  • Humble spirit that thrives in a team setting 
  • Demonstrates an active Christian faith  

 

Additional Staff Duties  

  • Be available on Sunday mornings for promotion tables and other Men’s Ministry related needs 
  • Participate weekly in Sunday morning worship 
  • Participate in First Tuesday and Third Tuesday all-staff meetings
  • Participate in monthly Adult Discipleship meetings 
  • Participate in additional staff development opportunities including Academy offerings
