Mission of the Personal Lines Account Manager

To serve, retain and grow the book of business by providing extraordinary service, educating the customer, maximizing sales opportunities, guiding clients through service and insurance claims scenarios, and generating referrals. Personal Lines Account Manager will focus on retention and growth within the current book of business while also backing up their co-workers. 

Desired Outcomes of this Role

  1. Conduct annual reviews
    1. Our team will provide you a monthly list of clients each month to conduct annual reviews.  Our team of 6 virtual assistants will provide the heavy lifting of initial annual review with all insurance carriers.  Your job is to find the best solution for the client moving forward and present.
    2. Annual review with the client will make sure current coverage is adequate and provide recommendations.  Rewriting of existing clients to another carrier may be needed to retain the client due to rate increases, claims history and/or existing carrier guidelines.
    3. Consistently share the agency’s referral program with clients
  2. Cross sell existing monoline policies
    1. Reach out to existing clients with only home or only auto insurance and cross sell additional lines of business
      1. Conduct review of existing policies and why it is the clients best interest to have all of their policies within the agency
      2. Uncover additional lines of business for clients when they may not know they needed (i.e. umbrella)
  3. Provide outstanding inbound service on claims, billing and service questions, and endorsements
    1. Work to manage clients’ expectations
    2. Follow up via phone, text or email with clients
    3. Use every opportunity to confirm and update client contact information 
    4. Educate clients on the benefits of using our agency
    5. Service accounts in a manner so as to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing E&O exposures
    6. Document the management system
    7. Follow agency standards of minimum coverage expectations with each client
    8. Adhere to agency service standards on follow up and follow through
  4. Positive attitude and efficient work ethic
    1. Work to increase and improve efficiency on a daily basis. This includes always finding ways to streamline processes, using technology tools to the fullest and limiting general distractions
    2. Possess and maintain a positive mental attitude, including positive working relationships with clients and agency team members
  5. Other responsibilities as directed by your manager
