Job overview

As an Entry-Level Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing repair needs, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our commercial properties. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to grow in the field of commercial property maintenance.


Here are the specifics:

  • Assist with groundskeeping duties, such as lawn care, snow removal, and general landscaping.
  • Conduct minor repairs, including but not limited to painting, drywall patching, and basic carpentry.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of properties.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities in Yardi.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure tenant moves out and clean up processes are completed.
  • Drive Speedway Vehicles to Various Locations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Constantly work to improve processes; make suggestions for productivity improvements, and optimize workflow, while continuing to meet our customers’ needs.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position requires you to be able to lift 75lbs, pull up to 100lbs and be on your feet constantly.

  • Work is performed in heated and cooled environment and occasionally outdoor environment
  • Frequent pinching, grasping, fine manipulation with fingers
  • Constant walking and standing
  • Frequent bending/reaching, twisting, kneeling, squatting

 

What you’ll need to succeed in this position:

  • At least 6 months of related experience or equivalent relevant work experience and a valid driver’s license.
  • Possess a general understanding of aspects of the area
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language to read technical manuals, Blueprints, and various maintenance and repair documents
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of the organization vendors and other internal and external individuals
  • Must be able to use a computer and tablet
  • Requires excellent time management skills

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Associates degree in Technology or Maintenance Engineering
