- Design and Development: Contribute to the design of new automation equipment, end-of-arm tools, fixtures, jigs, and other related components.
- CAD Modeling: Create, modify, and update CAD models as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety procedures and policies.
- Communication and Teamwork: Actively communicate with team members and other departments as needed.
- Materials Management: Monitor and communicate materials needed to support normal production activity.
- Experience and Education: 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician and Electro-Mechanical Technician, with a trade school associate degree or certification preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics, with experience in industrial controls, machine safety systems, PLC logic, relays, sensors, and electronics.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 100 pounds.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before small groups.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is moderate, and the employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes and eye protection.
