POSITION SUMMARY:

The Wheel and Brake Coordinator assists the Rotables Manager / Components Repair Manager and Warranty Administrator with Wheel and Brake Rotables tracking for repair, exchange, and loaner orders. This position accomplishes numerous tasks.

Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:

  • Communicating professionally with our Outsourced vendors.
  • Administer contracts with wheel and brakes companies.
  • Scan and upload ID plate pictures and ETR tags to the SharePoint folder of QC, ensuring accurate part information for initial loading, removal, or installation in PMI.
  • Confirm stock levels of wheels and brakes with all stations within Amerijet’s network.
  • Coordinate the COMAT of Rotables / wheels and Brakes to different stations.
  • Communicates with multiple departments throughout Amerijet including outstations.
  • Track availability of units with contracted vendors for dispatch to all Amerijet stocking locations.
  • Close pending exchange orders in Amerijet's Inventory PMI system, ensuring proper return of removed units to vendors.
  • Send technical information to contracted vendors units being returned.
  • Resolve shipping issues for units in transit outside of office hours.
  • Provide technical information on wheels and brakes to engineers and other departments upon request.
  • Generate reports on wheels and brakes usage by aircraft and station to determine appropriate inventory levels.
  • Create reports on the return times for wheels and brakes with contracted vendors.
  • Generate reports on inventory availability at all stations, open repairs orders, and unserviceable units.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify competitive pricing in the wheels and brakes market and provide detailed reports to leadership team.
  • Ensure sufficient wheel and brake covers and containers are available for all shipments.
  • Identify and sort unserviceable wheels and brakes by company to avoid confusion during pickup and delivery.
  • Respond to stockroom calls after office hours for any questions or concerns regarding the wheel and brake status.
  • Create repair orders for components requiring repair or evaluation from various vendors.
  • Update Repair orders and Core returns on Exchanges with quoted cost for component recertification and evaluation information.
  • Follow up on open repair orders and core return teardown information, contacting vendors for status updates.
  • Source suppliers to procure Beyond Economical Repair (B.E.R) material needed to replenish component stock levels for future maintenance requirements.
  • Assist the QC records department in correcting and verifying components removed from the aircraft, resolving discrepancies on ETR tags, and ensuring accurate data plate information.
  • Update Repair orders with prices and teardown information in the EPR system.
  • Assist the accounting department in managing pending scan documents related to orders (RO or Exchanges) to ensure timely scanning and processing of paperwork for payment.
  • Support the preparation of the FAK (Flight Assembly Kit) for flights and special projects, providing the required parts from stock.
  • Ensure units sent for repair are not eligible for warranty coverage and complete necessary forms for warranty claims.
  • Assist the stockroom in logistical aspects of complicated shipments, particularly for units located outside the United States.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Rotables Manager and Director of Supply Chain.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate degree in business, Supply Chain Management or Related field with 1-2 years technical purchasing & stock room experience or Equivalent combination of education and Job experience
  • Must possess strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong sense of financial responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, adapt and work with people of various backgrounds and culture
  • Self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required

  • Being bilingual (English/ Spanish) is a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not have direct reports but may require providing training for new team members.

Language Skills:

The employee must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information, respond to questions, and proficiently write reports and business correspondence.

Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:

Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally for office supplies and equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; move about the facility. Some light physical effort required.

Must be able to work well under pressure. Domestic/International travel and overtime are required when necessary.
