Position Summary:

In this role, you will operate under limited supervision to execute inspections, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft wheels and brakes. You will also conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on various aircraft components to identify any defects or irregularities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated according to the company's standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment as necessary.
  • Adhere to established procedures and inspection techniques using specialized equipment.
  • Provide guidance and training to NDT trainees and Level I technicians as required.
  • Conduct repairs and overhauls on aircraft wheels and brakes in compliance with aviation regulations and maintenance manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities and parts used.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Active NDT Level II certification is required; re-certification may be necessary if not currently active.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for export compliance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing across multiple disciplines (Magnetic Particle, Fluorescent Penetrant, Ultrasonic, or Eddy Current) is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting non-destructive tests and documenting results is essential.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending technical manuals and documentation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
