Role Title: Lab Technician
Location: 7171 Southwest Parkway, Austin, TX - Onsite
Duration: 12+ months contract
General Lab Support for Client Notebook and Desktop products
Interview expectation: 2 rounds- First-Teams video to screen. Second round- Teams panel interview
The person:
A candidate with a passion for technology and computers, with strong verbal and communicative skills, and excels in a team/lab environment. Hands-on skills in building & debugging Client PC systems, execution of manual and automated testing, with good lab organizational & housekeeping skills.
Key responsibilities:
Maintain lab space, test racks, infrastructure, & test equipment
Update and maintain Inventory SOR
Install and run benchmarks, harvest results & compile for analysis
Support engineers with automated and manual test execution on multiple platforms
Support root cause failure analysis with software and hardware debugging utilities/tools.
Build, Configure, Support, and Troubleshoot lab systems, both hardware and software.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Experience
Basic knowledge of soldering
Inventory SOR knowledge
Basic electronics knowledge
Basic Microsoft product experience
PC build knowledge
Basic shooting skills
