The On-Call Childcare Worker will offer childcare for members to attend events, Bible studies, and classes during hours in which there are not scheduled Children’s Ministry programs on various mornings, afternoons, and evenings.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment is set up when shift begins.
  • Greets children when they arrive ensuring they are checked-in properly.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of nurture and loving concern treating children with care and compassion.
  • Follows guidelines for diapering, restroom safety, food safety and all other health & safety protocols.
  • Release children only to their parent/guardian or other authorized individual.
  • Ensure play surfaces and materials are clean, washed if necessary, and returned to the appropriate storage spaces, and disinfect per schedule.
  • Notify Supervisor of classroom supplies/needs that are running low in a timely manner.
  • Notify Supervisor of any issues with children, volunteers, or parents/guardians in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with children & parents.

Classification

  • PT Non-Exempt

Reports To:

  • Directly to Jessica Klootwyk, Discipleship Director
  • Partners with Family Ministries

Time Commitment:

0-10 hours/week, plus or including:

  • Participates in all training as required for the position.
  • Participation in the life of the body through worship gatherings, etc.
  • $16/hour
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to EFCC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, & Values.
  • Livescan
  • Must be a regular attendee of Emmanuel Faith for at least six months prior to beginning work.
  • Childcare experience
  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification or equivalent babysitting certification.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Age 16 or older
  • Strong people skills: Courteous, prompt responsible, caring, calm under pressure, compassionate & friendly
