Position Overview:

The Facilities Assistant is essential in ensuring Pepper Palace facilities and warehouses are well-maintained, safe, and efficient. The Facilities Assistant will support the team in various tasks, including light maintenance, repairs, general upkeep, and assisting with warehouse operations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, and maintaining HVAC systems.
  • Repairs: Assist with minor repairs and report major repairs needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Trouble Ticket Maintenance: Utilize computer systems to help maintain and resolve trouble tickets for retail locations.

Facility Upkeep:

  • Cleaning and Organization: Ensure all areas of the facilities are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Oversee proper waste disposal and recycling practices.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Support: Assist in warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing inventory.

Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
