Your Role:
As a Facilities Maintenance Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Manager and/or Assistant Manager. This position involves collaborating with engineering leadership to ensure the department operates efficiently and meets the highest quality standards. You will oversee Engineering Technicians, conduct safety inspections, and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, including the Global Harmonized System for chemicals (GHS).

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the engineering department and vendor operations.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to Engineering Technicians in their daily tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with Internal, Quality, and Loss Prevention Audit standards.
  • Work with Human Resources and department leadership to uphold compliance and workplace standards.
  • Collaborate with department leadership on financial management of the engineering department.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and contractors, understanding Homeowners Association (HOA) dynamics.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids for presentation to resort management.
  • Support the implementation of strategic initiatives and programs set by resort management.

Your Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • CPO and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • OSHA and EPA certifications.
  • Strong negotiation skills with contractors and vendors.
  • Knowledge of safe practices for power and shop tools.
  • Experience with pool pumps and filtration systems.
  • Familiarity with ADA requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Understanding of fire codes and fire protection measures.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and understand its implications.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Professional demeanor and effective communication with guests and corporate personnel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in mechanical fields such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
