ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulates and makes recommendations regarding policies, administration, and procedures, works closely with other executives and managers in planning and carrying out activities and programs to assure the meeting of company and departmental objectives, ensures quality of management in all areas of the organization.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of the latest gaming regulations and works closely with regulatory authorities and various internal control staff members to ensure regulatory and operational practice compliance.
  • Maintains comprehensive industry familiarity with gaming practices, works closely with other property key personnel in exchanging information on gaming activities and develops proper security measures to ensure the integrity of the operation.
  • Reviews strengths and weaknesses of the operations such as win per machine, hold percentage, and general policies and procedures to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.
  • Establishes department standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient gaming operation.
  • Monitors and evaluates department to ensure the proper planning for short and long-term strategies; monitors and evaluates performance of the gaming operations to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
  • Works closely with staff and the Security and Surveillance departments to resolve customer complaints and provides a safe environment for guests and Team Members alike.
  • Reviews activities in the gaming operations to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence friendly and exciting guest service as well as maximum profitability. Reviews staffing work schedules to attain maximum efficiency of labor.
  • Creates, develops, and implements an effective organizational strategy, setting clear and attainable goals.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations, as applicable.
  • Motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs team members; provides leadership, guidance, and resources so team members can accomplish established objectives.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
  • Promotes Responsible Gaming and Title 31 compliance.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor. Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of HHR or Slot machine technology, trends, and player preferences
  • Strong and thorough knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Word and Excel or equivalent applications, and menu-driven programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a gaming or hospitality setting required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or plus ten (10) years progressive experience in HHR and/or Slot operations. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
