SmartHR has partnered with a company in a confidential search for a Talent Consultant.


Summary/Objective

Reporting to Chief People Officer, the Talent Consultant is responsible for the full-life cycle of recruiting, onboarding, and Associate retention initiatives.


Essential Functions

  1. Partner with management to fully understand current and future recruiting needs of the department
  2. Responsible for full-life cycle of recruiting (coordination of job posting to assisting with onboarding)
  3. Works with department heads to maintain updated job descriptions and update Applicant Tracking System accordingly
  4. Ensure recruiting practices and Applicant Tracking System workflow/documents comply with federal and state employment laws and regulations
  5. Partner with Chief People Officer on Associate retention initiatives

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Proactively source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
  2. Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and performing video interviews
  3. Disposition candidates accordingly and communicate with all candidates in a timely manner
  4. Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
  5. Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics; provide weekly updates on open requisitions
  6. Assist with new hire touchbases
  7. Facilitate New Hire Orientation (NHO)
  8. Create and maintain partnerships with colleges and coordinate college campus recruiting events
  9. Consistently network with industry experts, colleges, and organizations to further industry knowledge and enhance proactive recruiting strategies
  10. Research and suggest creative ways to continue attracting and retaining top talent
  11. Assist CWA affiliate companies with job postings and candidate sourcing as business needs dictate

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 2 years of recruiting experience required; high volume staffing agency experience highly desired
  • Experience recruiting for roles within the finance and accounting industry strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable making decisions independently
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems required; experience with Recruitee, Culture Index, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Recruiter and ExponentHR strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to fill multiple roles within the industry average time-to-fill
  • Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
  • Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues; including cold calling/email communications

Travel

Occasional local, out-of-town (within Texas) and/or overnight travel for recruiting events may be requested periodically throughout the year.


Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 


Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management's approval. An in-office presence 2-3 days per week is required. Must have the flexibility to assist in-office additional days per week with minimal notice.
