POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Sales and marketing, the Business Development Manager will find, create, and build relationships with new clients. This role will assist in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific clients/sponsors including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prospect into target market to set up discovery calls with new customer prospects.
  • Conduct thorough customer needs assessment and desired outcomes.
  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Articulate the outcomes customers can expect when working with SRC Logistics.
  • Deeply understands all company offerings and communicates them to clients.
  • Files weekly/monthly sales reports.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date CRM database.
  • Attends trade shows, seminars, conferences, and industry training programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

25% – 40% Travel required per work week.

Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere.

Some exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures—for short periods is possible

All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in sales
  • Agriculture, Industrial, Automotive, Trucking, Mining, or related industry work experience.

Skills

  • Experience in negotiation
  • Ability to build relationships with fellow employees, and potential and current clients.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to make Judgements and decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
  • Complete understanding of the reverse logistics process and timetable to satisfy the needs of the customer without compromising our ability to produce a quality product.
