Project Engineer

MidAmerica Liner is a specialty construction company in the Geosynthetics Industry focused on Biogas capture. Our clients are generally classified as Controlled Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO) by the EPA. The Products and Services that we provide serve the industry in the reclamation and useful disposition of Biogas generated by their operations.

Project Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop a detailed project plan that includes timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments. The project plan will recognize and accomplish all metrics as shown in the Project Management Checklist.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to the project team members.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with various teams, including design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the project adheres to quality standards, statutory and industry standard regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Development/Continuous Improvement: Design, Develop and Implement Visual Project Management System(s) to Communicate Project progress and accomplishments “at a glance” to the organization at large.
  • Systems: Develop, Implement and Maintain Engineering Control Systems/Documents to include all Engineering drawings and Technical Specifications, Means and Methods.

Work Hours and Benefits

The Project Engineer position is a full-time professional position. Associates will generally be expected to work a standard 40-hour work week. Project Engineer Qualifications and Skills:

· Licensure: Professional engineering license is preferred. Completed FE Exam in pursuit of PE license will be considered as meeting this preference.

· Experience: Previous experience in engineering or project management is required.

· Training: Candidate will be expected to be fluent in Autodesk/AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software application(s).

· Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute is highly valued.

· Skills: Candidate will possess strong technical skills in engineering principles and practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and flexibility are required.

· Knowledge: Project Engineers should have knowledge of project management tools and software, as well as relevant regulations and standards in their industry.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. A completed FE Exam and/or PE license is preferred.
  • Certificate in general construction, roofing, electrician etc. is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of related experience is required.
