Our company is looking for an experienced and motivated account specialist to join our dynamic team. Working with our customers is at the heart of an account specialists role. Whether it is to make payment arrangements, listen and communicate, or answer their questions, an account specialist should have the confidence, motivation, and ability to successfully communicate well and work through obstacles to get mutual results.

Primary Responsibilities
Monitor past due accounts
Investigate customer accounts for all notes and information before contacting
Contact customers with past due account(s) and attempt to collect the past due payment(s) or negotiate a mutually agreed upon payment plan to bring the payment(s) current
Take action to encourage timely payments
Answering phone calls and taking incoming payments as well as helping customers with any concerns
Speaking to customers regarding their account when they walk into our office
Keep up-to-date and accurate records on each customers account involving contact efforts and all conversations exchanged with the customer
Direct all customer complaints to the appropriate department supervisor or manager
Contacting all the new customers and welcoming them to our company and verifying the contract terms, phone number, address, vehicle description, insurance, etc.
Issue account status letters in a timely manner

Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to work independently and in a group setting
Great listening skills and ability to use and prefect constructive criticism
Excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
Problem-solving skills
Critical thinking skills
Patience and ability to manage stress
Collection background is not required
Basic knowledge of working a computer and typing
