The pay range for this woodworking position depends on experience and skills but starts at anywhere from $16-$23/hr. We also offer our valued full-time employees fantastic benefits, including medical, dental, & vision plans. We also provide $25,000 life insurance for employees, $5,000 for spouses, and $2,500 for dependent children. And it also covers accidental death and dismemberment, and long-term disability. WORKING WITH FETZER

As an Assembly Woodworker, you play an essential role in helping us assemble products and complete our many work orders on time. We continue to grow as a respected company because we have been able to find and retain skilled and reliable woodworkers like you. You are serious about your job and take pride in your work.

As an Assembly Woodworker, you read drawings/cut lists and use various techniques to assemble components into finished products. As part of the process, you utilize a variety of hand tools. You can also set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws, molders, and shapers to cut and shape parts from wood stock. You use a variety of joinery techniques, including dowels, pocket screws, and biscuits.

As a Mill Operator, you will process panels and press veneer to panels, complete the edgebanding process, and size milling products to get them ready for assembly. You will also monitor inventory transactions such as goods received and goods issued to ensure that they are on-time and accurate.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSEMBLY WOODWORKER

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic math skills associated with adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability and desire to work with your hands
  • Tolerance to vibration, noise, and variations in temperature
  • Commitment to lean manufacturing practices

At least one year of experience and familiarity with the different phases of casework assembly processes is preferred, but we can train the right person. Do you have good communication skills?
