Dutchess Millwork a custom Millwork shop that just celebrated our 48 years anniversary and are looking for a highly skilled woodworker who wants to get an extraordinary amount of responsibility and autonomy in order to help take the business to a new level.

Our focus is on building custom doors, windows, moldings, turnings, and other high-end residential and historical restorations. We don't do cabinets, casework, or any project with plywood. We've worked on some of the most iconic houses and historical buildings in the Hudson Valley, NYC, and even around the US. We're known be able to take historical elements from old homes or buildings and recreate them exactly. We've even done work on the Library of Congress, FDR's mansion, and more.

We're looking for someone who is highly skilled and passionate about custom woodworking. We're looking to give someone an outsized amount of responsibility and are willing to help relocate the right candidate to the area.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the owners and other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, smooth workflow and efficient production.
• Work on challenging projects using heavy duty equipment. 
• Collaborate with designers and clients to create innovative and appealing wood products that meet customer demands.
• Implement and refine woodworking techniques, utilizing various tools and machinery to achieve exceptional craftsmanship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure a reliable supply chain and strong customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in woodworking
• Excellent knowledge of different types of wood, woodworking techniques, and tools/machinery used in the industry.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients, suppliers, and employees.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability to address challenges and changing market demands.
