Overview: Mythical seeks an experienced, resourceful, ambitious, and creative-minded
Production Assistant to provide support to the Senior Director of Production, Production Manager, Production Coordinator, and Key Set PA across a variety of productions within Mythical Entertainment.


Responsibilities: 

  • Support the production team throughout the pre-production and production process.
  • Work as needed on set to assist the Production Team, Producers, Directors, Culinary Team, and the Art Department on various programs including, but not limited to, Good Mythical Morning, Mythical Kitchen, Rhett and Link Content, Mythical Society and various Mythical podcasts
  • Plan and complete runs to various locations across Los Angeles and the surrounding areas while effectively timing out your trips and communicating your location and progress to all necessary team members
  • Work closely with Key Set PA to ensure all production needs on Good Mythical Morning are met. These duties include but are not limited to: printing and distributing schedules, prepping, cleaning, and resetting various stages before and after filming is complete, wrangling crew and on-camera talent during filming, organizing equipment rentals, assisting ART with flying props on and off camera, and assisting culinary with bringing food on and off camera. 
  • Identify and communicate production needs and adjustments to the senior production team as they occur 
  • Keep open lines of communication with the Key Set PA at all times
  • Update Good Mythical Morning’s IMDB page at a consistent, regular pace.
  • Log, code, and gather receipts for all weekly debit card purchases from the production team 
  • Manage PO Box and set up office shipments.
  • Organize and maintain office and production storage (including wardrobe, props, office supplies, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other departments to increase workflow efficiency.
  • Handle lunch orders with the Office Manager as needed.


Requirements: 

  • A genuine interest in learning all aspects of production from pre-production to post-production
  • 6-12 months of on-set experience 
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Basic understanding of pre-production and production, and a willingness to learn the post-production process
  • Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude. Problem-solving skills and interest in evolving office processes
  • Valid US driver's license
  • A working vehicle or mode of transportation to perform various runs for production
  • Ability and comfort with driving production trucks and vans
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds without assistance 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of Google Suite of apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, GMail, Forms, and Calendar), as well as being overall tech-savvy 


Preferred:

  • Experience with some kind of task-tracking software (Monday.com, Asana, Airtable, etc)
  • Familiarity with basic filmmaking equipment.
