Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTooling Coordinator– Stator DepartmentOVERVIEWResponsible for supporting and prepping the core and tooling for the operation of manufacturing equipment related to the production of stators including but not limited to: prepping the core and tooling per part number requirement, assembly of stator tooling, rubber injection, breakdown area, cleaning and clocking core and tooling for next schedule. Inventory control of cores and tooling. Organizing and coordinating high runner core. Removal and storage of cores.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Communicates directly with Stator manager and Engineering daily.
  • Coordinates tooling projects with Process Engineer; will work with and receive directions from Process Engineer to preselect tooling for all stators.
  • Prepares daily core and tooling per injection schedule.
  • Monitors core and tooling usage for storage, inspections, maintenance, damage, and repair criteria.
  • Reviews core and tooling combination requirements specific to work order part number and per QC incoming inspection datasheets.
  • Reviews all cores for accurate clocking before usage per schedule.
  • Plans and coordinates core inspection and tooling inspection with QC and follow up on minor repairs.
  • Requests tooling replacement parts as needed & track inventory.
  • Tracks tooling safety stock to maintain inventory.
  • Requests Redlined or New Tooling drawing from Engineering per manufacturing requirements.
  • Follow up when Engineering releases changes to Fleet Tooling such as remove, scrap or designate as obsolete when required
  • Works with QC to provide manufacturing with odd sized tooling for custom parts.
  • Records data and related paperwork for assigned area; create and maintain records for traceability of core/tooling inspections, frequency, and requirements.
  • Ensures that product output meets established quality policy.
  • Ensures established productivity standards are obtained.
  • Responsible for observing all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety practices ensuring all machine guards and other safety equipment or devices are in place and in good working order before and during operation.
  • Supports Stator Technicians on any operations, when needed.
  • Able to be flexible with work schedule –days, nights, weekends, holidays, possibly up to 12 hour shifts 7 days a week.
  • Ensures all personal protective equipment is always monitored and used.
  • Position requires heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time.
  • Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with operation of forklift and overhead cranes.Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.JOB DESCRIPTION
