Job Description

We are seeking a Process Engineering Tools Manager to join our Methods and Systems Team based in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a strategy for engineering tool usage, leading a team to support the integrated Front End Engineering Design Process application, and working with operating centers to build capabilities and continuity in engineering execution of studies, PDPs, and FEEDs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop strategy for engineering tool usage for Proposals, Studies, PDPs, and FEEDs in concert with the engineering disciplines as well as global and detail engineering methods while optimizing for pull-through projects.
  2. Lead, build, and maintain team supporting the integrated Front End Engineering Design Process application (currently Aspen Basic Engineering) in order to provide adequate support for projects.
  3. Work with all operating centers in the cluster to build capabilities and continuity in engineering execution of studies, PDPs, and FEEDs.
  4. Update and maintain procedures, guidelines, and other documentation across the scope this role's activities.
  5. Conduct or oversee regular training for engineering tools in coordination with process management.
  6. Admins, Users - designers and engineers (including superusers in engineering), Participate in proposal development process.
  7. Tools in scope: Simulators, Spreadsheet Tools, Aspen Basic Engineering (or equivalents like Aveva Engineering), Smart P&ID (Experienced admins currently exist so coordination here), Project/ARAS (future).
