POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Contract and Closing Coordinator is the main point of contact for the sales team, purchasing department, mortgage lenders, title company, and construction team to ensure that the loan and construction processes are progressing to maintain the closing timeline.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with government and mortgage industry guidelines for different loan types.
  • Approve, execute, and distribute new sales contracts to all necessary parties, lenders, applicable agents and title companies.
  • Ensure all closing documents, builder certifications, builder warranties, etc. are prepared and sent to all parties involved including mortgage lenders, and title company in a timely manner.
  • Assist in providing necessary documents for appraisals based on comparable, and ensuring final surveys are ordered and title commitments have been sent to prepare for closing.
  • Maintain all management reporting regarding production and closing date expectations.
  • Approve final closing disclosures and confirm that all loan requirements are satisfied.
  • Coordinate all closings with sales counselors, mortgage lenders, and title company utilizing creative means if necessary.
  • Performs other projects and related duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 2 years of relevant experience in home building.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, follow through, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • NewStar Constellation experience a plus.
