Job DescriptionJob Description

The Outbound Patient Care Representative is a self-motivated and self-assured professional who serves as The Smilist’s professional representative while following-up with patients to coordinate their treatment and care at The Smilist. The Outbound Patient Care Representative works closely with teams at their assigned dental offices to effectively schedule patients. 

Pay Range - $20 to $25/hour

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make outgoing calls to existing patients of The Smilist to follow-up on their needed dental treatment and to schedule future appointments 
  • Follow-up on inquiries of prospective patients of The Smilist who have completed online lead forms 
  • Appropriate utilize all patient outreach channels such as outbound calling and 2-way text messaging through NexHealth 
  • Enthusiastically motivate patients to schedule treatment or appointments to receive their dental care at The Smilist 
  • Document each call and other patient interactions per company policies and procedures 
  • Apply a positive customer service attitude in all interactions with patients by establishing a positive rapport 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communications with internal and external customers or patients  
  • Ensure that HIPAA policies and procedures are followed 

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma

Knowledge

  • Dental software such as Dentrix Enterprise 
  • G-Suite, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel 
  • Well versed in all phases of dental treatment including periodontal treatment and the proper sequencing of dental treatment in multi-discipline and involved treatment plans. 
  • Full knowledge of dental insurance policies. 
  • Understanding patient ledgers, collection procedures and third-party financing options . 
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
