Position: Pediatric NICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Work Schedule:
  • Night Shift (3x12 Hours): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Day Shift (3x12 Hours): 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Day/Night Rotating 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week including every other weekend (48 hours per week considered with no OT until >48)
  • Rotating is not within the same week, usually every few weeks
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level IV NICU at a CHildren's hospital.
  • Must have experience with micro preemies, pressors, and tracheostomies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU.
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring intensive care, including those on pressors and with tracheostomies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate and support patients' families, ensuring they understand their child's condition and care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  • Float between critical care units (PICU, CICU, NICU) as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid RN license in Washington, D.C.
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU Level IV experience at a children's hospital.
  • Strong clinical skills in neonatal intensive care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
