Position: Pediatric NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Work Schedule:
- Night Shift (3x12 Hours): 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Day Shift (3x12 Hours): 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Day/Night Rotating 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week including every other weekend (48 hours per week considered with no OT until >48)
- Rotating is not within the same week, usually every few weeks
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level IV NICU at a CHildren's hospital.
- Must have experience with micro preemies, pressors, and tracheostomies.
- Provide high-quality care to critically ill neonates in a Level IV NICU.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring intensive care, including those on pressors and with tracheostomies.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate and support patients' families, ensuring they understand their child's condition and care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Float between critical care units (PICU, CICU, NICU) as needed.
- Valid RN license in Washington, D.C.
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU Level IV experience at a children's hospital.
- Strong clinical skills in neonatal intensive care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions.
