Summary Description:

This role serves as the overarching Project Leader for the jobs in which they participate. Responsibilities include project setup, project buyout, contract execution and compliance, material and equipment procurement, daily progress tracking, project safety compliance, material and equipment invoice approval, manpower timesheet approval, project sequencing and scheduling, maintaining and updating schedules, coordination and communication with GC, extra work and change order distribution/tracking, coordination with operation managers to sec.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Project safety compliance
  • Contract/scope review and execution.
  • Job cost distribution and estimate review.
  • Coordination with the CSI Operations Manager about people and resources.
  • Project quantity/progress tracking
  • Project cost reporting
  • Project sequence and scheduling
  • Material and equipment procurement
  • Change order request issuance and tracking
  • Create simple change order estimate cost.
  • Coordination with the general contractor/owner.
  • Invoice coding and approval.
  • Mentoring Project Engineers

  • Understands and properly estimates the expenses of completion. Proactively adjusts budgets and devises profit-maximizing strategies.
  • Operates within the organization's official and informal structures, develops allies and connections across departments, leverages allies to generate agreement and achieve goals, is suitably diplomatic, understands others' responsibilities and viewpoints, and can sell initiatives and ideas throughout the organization.
  • Ability to detect, integrate, and grasp the important parts of a situation in order to extract and evaluate the consequences of various courses of action and attend to issue specifics.
  • Anticipates and resolves disagreements, leverages team diversity, utilizes unique team abilities, establishes processes and goals, and strives for consensus.
  • Inspires and motivates subordinates' best efforts to achieve defined goals.

Education/Experience/Attributes/Requirements

  • Experience in project setup, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting is essential.
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of construction principles/practices is necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferred.
  • Highly enterprising and self-motivated, with the ability to operate well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with an adaptive and flexible attitude while working with different sorts of people.
  • A solid knowledge of critical route scheduling.
  • Experience managing a successful project team, including employee development and maintaining partnerships with other entities.
  • Energetic and driven, with a strong feeling of urgency.
  • Ability to roam about the job site, climb ladders, and use multi-floor scaffolding.
