Packaging Operations Manager
Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together.
So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality through Afterpay, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.
Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.
Square is looking for a technical and strategic Packaging Operations Manager to join our Square Hardware Design Operations Team. The ideal candidate thrives in cross-discipline collaboration, is technical, strategic, and driven to deliver on time and on budget. Square Packaging creates high-quality out of box experiences for our sellers and pride ourselves in bringing creative and sustainable solutions into existence.

Your role has a high-level of technical expertise, attention to details, organization and prioritization, strategic planning, and relationship management. You understand the intersection between design and manufacturing, communicate clearly, don’t mind pivoting, and know how to move work forward evolving in tandem with your team. Maintaining the quality of our product, efficiency of production, and health of partner relationships is instrumental to great packaging experiences for our sellers.
You Will:
Manage packaging and print vendors against KPIs for NPI programs and maintain on-going supply of packaging for sustaining programs

Relationships, prioritization, and strategic planning to ensure continuity of supply for programs
You Have:
8+ years of experience in Packaging Operations Management (agency, in-house, or vendor) with international (SE Asia) supply chain and supplier management
Creative problem solving and experience closing technical issues
Strategic program management and demonstrable process to drive results
Understanding of how to manage, influence and grow internal and external relationships
