Creative Project Manager

History Factory is seeking a passionate and results-oriented contract Creative Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this fast-paced, detail oriented role, you will play a pivotal role in managing creative from concept to completion. You will serve as the primary coordinator of all project management aspects such as schedules, process adherence and job costs, while supporting an Account Manager or Account Director in managing the overall client relationship. 

While a PMP certification is not required for this position, candidates should have specific background and experience as a project manager in a creative agency setting. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Managers and Directors on client accounts, demonstrating the ability to lead independently where required.
  • Oversee assigned creative project teams, providing clear direction and ensuring all activities align with client expectations and deadlines.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail and ensure all projects are completed to the highest quality internal, client standards, on schedule and on budget.
  • Own all project schedules and team member hours allocation  to ensure accuracy on a daily basis. Scheduling will be managed  through a dedicated project management system and reported to the working team in real time.
  • Manage project budgets proactively, including cost tracking, reporting, revenue forecasting, and new project estimating.
  • Shepherd work through History Factory’s internal creative process in accordance with established deadlines and schedules. 
  • Lead and participate in the creation of presentations, creative briefs, program reports, and status updates.
  • Facilitate effective communication internally and externally, organizing and leading recurring project meetings.
  • Support the senior account lead as the day-to-day point of contact and fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Collaborate effectively with project partners, vendors, and freelancers, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and address client needs, offering creative solutions and exceeding expectations.
  • Anticipate potential challenges and propose solutions to navigate both internal and external obstacles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • PMP or related certification strongly encouraged
  • Familiarity with project management and scheduling software.
  • 2-4+ years of experience as a project manager in a marketing or communications agency
  • Proven track record of successfully executing complex marketing and communications programs.
  • Strong understanding of strategic planning, project management, and budget control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on building trust and respect.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise in using MS Office Suite and Google Suite tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Openness to learning and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
  • Up to 10% intermittent travel required.
