We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive individual who can lead our FedRAMP compliance efforts, guiding our organization through the complex landscape of federal cloud security requirements.

Overall, the FedRAMP SME will play a crucial role in helping organizations achieve and maintain compliance with federal cloud security standards, and ensuring the protection of sensitive government data. Advising organizations on how to prepare for and navigate the FedRAMP authorization process.

Main Responsibilities:


  1. Compliance Planning and Implementation: Design and implement comprehensive compliance programs tailored to FedRAMP requirements. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to FedRAMP security standards.

  2. Security Assessment and Auditing: Conduct thorough security assessments and audits to evaluate our cloud services' compliance with FedRAMP requirements. Identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend remediation measures to address security gaps.

  3. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain documentation required for FedRAMP authorization, including security plans, system security documentation, and security assessment reports. Generate accurate and timely compliance reports for internal stakeholders and government agencies.

  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and compliance, to facilitate FedRAMP compliance efforts. Engage with government agencies, third-party assessors, and cloud service providers to coordinate compliance activities and address compliance-related inquiries.

  5. Continuous Monitoring and Improvement: Establish processes for ongoing monitoring of our cloud services' compliance with FedRAMP requirements. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement measures to enhance our compliance posture.

  6. Advising organizations on how to prepare for and navigate the FedRAMP authorization process.

  7. Conducting security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with FedRAMP requirements.

  8. Developing and implementing security controls and procedures to mitigate risks associated with cloud services.

  9. Keeping abreast of updates and changes to FedRAMP guidelines and requirements.

  10. Collaborating with stakeholders, including government agencies, cloud service providers, and third-party assessors, to facilitate compliance efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (X years) in IT security, compliance, or risk management, with a focus on federal regulations and standards, particularly FedRAMP.
